JOB VACANCY: Youth Voice Coordinator (Connecting Culture and Southampton CEP)


Salary:   ÂŁ25,217 per annum
Full Time Fixed Term for 12 months

We’re looking for an exceptional individual, with the skills, experience, energy and drive to connect a diverse range of Children and Young People to transformative opportunities and support them to influence cultural provision in Southampton that meets their needs and aspirations.

The University of Southampton is proud to be interim Lead Organisation for the Southampton Cultural Education Partnership (SCEP). Come and work with us, in collaboration with partner organisations, who are committed to engaging with Children and Young People, to champion and embed Youth Voice across the city’s cultural education provision. 

Youth Voice Coordinator is a new role working across the SCEP and Connecting Culture project, that will support and enable the development of children and young people who are representative of the city’s communities, to become influencers and future leaders. The role will help shape the SCEP’s long-term goals, contribute to key child-focused programmes and support the city’s long-term cultural ambitions, including Southampton 2025 UK City of Culture Bid. 

  • This role may be subject to an Enhanced DBS check 
  • This role will include a mixture of remote working, including virtual meetings and sessions, as well as face-to-face workshops, events and office-based working at Highfield Campus office and Studio 144 (City Centre).
